Default A few of my own ideas ;)

This is the build I use as general green farming...for a list of all possible greens farmed with this go to: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build:N/Mo_Boss_Farmer

This is a superb build for farming from camp rankor all the way to dreadnoughts drift. I recommend taking at least 10 shiverpeak keys. 7 salvage kits and 1 sup id and salvage. The run takes about an 1.5-2 hours but is a fantastic way to get full stocks of materials and get golds. I generally make 25-50k/run dependin on drops.
It's advisable to run the first part out of rankor past the herders and doylaks as you will find it near impossible to kill them. Once you get to the first cave it's time to farm. From here on up you can farm all that you come across just beware of the pop-ups of azure shadows. Balanced stance is a must against the Tundra and Azure. Once you get to the top of snake dance you can keep farming by going in and out of the portal until your inventory is full.

You want any tips on this or any other 55 builds just pm me IGN: Monk Of Kindness

How about adding a note on the use of +1 attrib weapons and additional head tats for use in pre-casting enchantments. This saves me valuable points that can be better spent on another line.

sliped my mind. I left out a build in which I talk about that and forgot to add it to a different section. I'll have it up in a day or two (6 hour college classes ftl).

Man, this is a great guide. I just have one question, my being new to the monking thing and all. How do these builds handle mesmers, especially when they have degen?

Also, has anyone ever tried this in ToTPK, and if so, how did it work?

Once again, thanks for a great guide.

Invinci-builds are used in areas where enchantment removal is at a minimum, tombs is not the ideal area to use it.

Of the builds posted, there are several which are used to counter degen mobs.

Thanks,

Also another question.

I don't have NF yet but i do have factions. Is it still possible to do 55 monking? Or is NF really a requirment.. If it is possible, what can't i do with a 55 monk that i would be able to do with NF?

Many thanks,,

Tyria is the only thing you need to 55. Rest is optional (but quite useful).

just got on spring break will update the guide soon.

you basicly NEED prophecies to 55 monk.

to build a decent 55 monk you will need around 30k for items/armor/etc. and more to buy skills and cap sigs.

30k isnt too hard to get. You can pretty much earn that money easily by running people from ascalon city->sanctum cay or running south shiverpeaks.

Most of these builds are totally outdated, dont get me wrong, good beginners guide if you havent discovered 55'ing, but for seasoned vets, its less than expected.

Great guide.

Just not useful to me.

Default Golds? Chests?

The amount of platinum per hour (p/h) can range widely based on efficiency, where you farm, and just pure luck.
A very isnsparational and genious guide, thank you very much!
One query is the 'Chest farming' you mentioned but did not get back to. (according to my ctrl+f search)

At the moment I have reached the first level of the wizdome title but need more golds. I tried 55'ing barbarous shore and Arjok Ward (Hearing that they yield good gold drop rates) to no avail due mainly to the necro monsters.

My point/question is more or less to find out what you meant by this chest farming which could produce substantial golds or where you reckon the best gold drop rate place is.

Thank you very much for your time o master and powerful one.

I agree. None of these are outdated, if by that you mean they do not work or are not effective. Many of my friends and I have tried these out ant they all work as much as they have been said to.

Hello, I just finished my 55 monk and tried the trolls outside Droknar. (From your thread here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...d.php?t=140037

The first few aviacra were going good, took like 1 minute and they were all dead... But the trolls =\ I aggro that big first grp in the entrance when entering the cave. Put skills on, blah blah.. I don't die but the trolls keep running away at 50-75% of their HP. Than they gain slowly health and come back.. What must i do? I use the build you describe in the thread from what i gave link above.

Many thanks,
